By all accounts the 2013 Newport Halloween Hootenanny was a rousing success. Estimates for attendance run as high as 2,500-3,000 people for the event. 1,600 hotdogs were handed out in the first hour of the Hootenanny. 15 minutes later our 2,000 drink cups were exhausted. Due to careful management of cotton candy, kettle corn, sno-cones, candy and prizes, we were able to make these last for the 3 hour duration of the event, but there was little left over.

2013 Hootenanny Costume Contest Winners

This year, the Newport Halloween Hootenanny Costume Contest, featured three separate contests, Ages 0-5, 6-10, and 11 and over, with Grand Prize Winners being selected at the end of the evening. Newport Rotary Club President and Hootenanny Coordinator Pam Wall presented the prizes. Congratulations to our winners! There were some great costumes out there!

2013 Hootenanny Raffle Winner

Raffle winner Angela holds up her prize Gas Cards

Angela Sharp of Newport was the winner of the 2013 Newport Rotary/ Hootenanny Raffle. She won a $200 Gasoline Card from Trade Wilco- Wilco Hess. The raffle winner was drawn after the conclusion of the costume contests at the Hootenanny Thursday night.

An excited Angela exclaimed "I've never won anything before!" Well, congratulations Angela, you are the winner of the 2013 Newport Rotary/ Hootenanny Raffle!

Newport’s little “monsters” will have a safe place to have fun Halloween night at the Newport Halloween Hootenanny at the Newport Little League Field.

The Newport Rotary Club is organizing the Hootenanny again this year, as it did last year.
